To get a sense of how much these sources agree with each other, you can view a comparison of San Diego and the stations that contribute to our estimates of its temperature history and climate. There are 3 weather stations near enough to contribute to our estimation of the temperature and dew point in San Diego.įor each station, the records are corrected for the elevation difference between that station and San Diego according to the International Standard Atmosphere, and by the relative change present in the MERRA-2 satellite-era reanalysis between the two locations. This is a sample of doggie heaven before the Rainbow Bridge. This report illustrates the typical weather in San Diego, based on a statistical analysis of historical hourly weather reports and model reconstructions from Januto December 31, 2016. I urge you to check them out online and in person. You can even sponsor a dog to help with its care even if you can't adopt or foster. They have a special program for pairing up a senior dog with a 65+ human companion. The animal has free vet care for life, but you must drive to their facility. Frosted Faces is so very good to their animals (they occasionally have a kitty or two) and if you chose to adopt one of their residents, there is no adoption fee. She said she failed horribly at fostering as many volunteers have. He was with her a very short time when she decided to adopt him. Our particular volunteer, Natasha, said she started out with the best intentions of just fostering one dog. There were many volunteers on hand, some just to get their "doggie fix" for the week. Also they knew that a volunteer was preparing lunch just inside one sliding door and all were ganging up to be one of the first to get to a food bowl. Finally we went into the small dog area and were greeted by the most wonderful dogs, most over 10 years of age, some with medical concerns, one in particular who had only three legs but did not let that stop him for one minute. Then we went outside to see the different areas for large dogs with individual personalities. I asked about his condition and he has cancer for which they are treating him. Then we went down a hall, past the infirmary where we met one adorable dog who came to the door to greet us while holding his front right paw in the air. This place is wonderful!!!! Upon opening the door to a former residence, we were surprised to find all kinds of huge dogs in the living room, each one laying on his own bedding or just on the cool floor. I immediately knew where my charitable contributions would go this next year. Today we drove to Ramona and took a tour of their facilities. After my sweet Bill passed on, someone on NextDoor suggested that I donate the remainder of his doggie meds to Frosted Faces Foundation.
